    This is a competency-based certification. Certification is awarded only after passing a performance-based final exam that mirrors real-world estimating work.

  • Q2. What happens if I don’t pass the final exam?

    If you do not pass the final exam, you will receive structured feedback and must complete required remediation before attempting a retake. One retake is included with the course.

  • Q3. Is there a fee to retake the exam?

    One retake is included. If a student does not pass the included retake, an additional retake may be permitted for a $49 retake fee.

  • Q4. Can I retake the exam multiple times until I pass?

    No. Certification is competency-based. Retakes are controlled to preserve the integrity of the certification and reflect real-world professional standards.

  • Q5. Does passing the course guarantee I’ll pass the exam?

    No. Course completion does not guarantee certification. The final exam requires accurate scope identification, material selection, and takeoff organization.
